3/31/09 - Renovation of the Lower Church completed; elevator near completion
4/20/09 - Elevator completed; renovation of the Upper Church begins
6/15/09 - Site work/plaza begins; main driveway closed
8/15/09 - Upper Church completed
8/31/09 - Plaza completed
The first phase of the renovation has begun and the first order of business was asbestos removal. The Upper Church will not be closed unless otherwise notified. However, the Lower Church remains closed. The main Sacristy will also be off limits for most of phase one. This also means that the bathroom to use will be the one in the Overbrook Sacristy. Thanks for your generosity and support.
Alerts
We anticipate the closure of the main driveway by the weekend of June 13/14. Please enter the property from the road between Channel 2 and St. Pius X. Please exit at the Overbrook Road.
You will be able to come onto the property in front of the church on the semi-circle that faces York Road for passenger drop-offs only. Handicapped parking ONLY will be allowed in the semi-circle area.
You may enter into the church at the front doors that face York Road and from the Overbrook entrance. For those with mobility concerns there will be a ramp from the semi-circle area to the Overbrook entrance with passage into the church and to the elevator.
As always we appreciate your patience – especially during this time - as the renovations to the church continue. Please be considerate of those with mobility concerns.
