Members of the Pastoral Care Ministry offer support to those who are physically sick, emotionally broken, or spiritually troubled. The Pastoral Care ministers visit those confined to hospitals, nursing homes, or their own home. They also bring the Eucharist to shut-ins. What does it take to be a Pastoral Care Minister? Being a good listener, being compassionate and empathetic are very important characteristics of those interested in this ministry. Specific guidelines are presented in a course for Pastoral Visitors, which is offered through St. Joseph’s Hospital once each year. Meetings of Pastoral Care Ministers are also held periodically, to offer support and ongoing education. Contact the parish office at (410) 427-7500.
The purpose of this ministry is to provide prayerful, spiritual support for those in need of prayers, through our parishioners. Located in the Church is a book for prayer intentions. These names are lifted up in prayer by the entire parish community.
Parish Office Volunteer Assistance
Dozens of volunteers help with counting weekly collections, staffing the reception desk, helping out with bulk mailings, filing, and making telephone calls. Call the Parish Office at 410-427-7500 to learn more about each volunteer opportunity.
Cub Scouts – Pack 787
Cub Scouting means “DOING”. Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting – citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. While the boys are having fun and doing things they like to do, they also learn new things, discover and master new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop strong friendships. Our Cub Pack 787 is made up of “Tigers” (1st graders), Wolves (2nd), Bears (3rd), Weblos I & II (4th & 5th). If you are interested in joining the Scouts please contact our Leadership directly at either (410) 320-5000 or www.towsonscouts.org and we will explain all of the benefits of the program … Join Today!

Fall Soccer Program
SPX Soccer Program was a blast for the 2016 Season! We hope you will join us for the 2017 season!

Christmas Sharing Tree and Easter Sharing Tree
By bringing the parish together in a spirit of fellowship, we hope to strengthen the bonds that make St. Pius X such a vibrant community. Not insignificantly, the social affairs planned and executed by hundreds of volunteers also contribute to the fundraising activities of the parish. The various social affairs planned by St. Pius X, from the Spaghetti Dinner to the Carnival to dances and crab feasts plus others are celebrated each year and require the dedicated involvement of scores of volunteers. Each event has a different staffing need, but each chairperson is always happy to have an extra pair of hands! To get involved watch the bulletin for announcements of upcoming events, or call the Parish Office at 410-427-7500, or email Lisa Ross.
