CELEBRATING OUR LIFE, DEATH AND RESURRECTION IN CHRIST
The Catholic funeral rites celebrate the mystery of our life, death and resurrection in Christ. Through Baptism we enter into this mystery. We live our lives in the hope of sharing eternal life with God when we complete our final passage through death. Faith in this mystery should motivate people arranging the funeral of a loved one. With this in mind, and praying with you in this time of grief, we have provided a Funeral Planning Guide in helping you plan a funeral at St. Pius X. Our parish is open to celebrating funeral services for both current and former parishioners and non-parishioners alike.
The Mass of Christian Funeral is the primary service, customarily celebrated in the morning, reflecting the theme of resurrection. After the initial meeting with your funeral director, please call Deacon Patrick Woods at 410-427-7511 to begin arrangements and to reserve the church.
Please refer to our Funeral Planning Guide for help in planning the funeral Mass.
